Labiaplasty of the large labia, which includes both the labia minora and labia majora, is the reduction of the outward appearance, the correction of asymmetric or misshapen labia or other related female genital irregularities. Many factors can cause discomfort for women, both physically and emotionally, including being born with enlarged labia or the development of enlarged labia through childbirth or age. The Procedure

Nipple Reductions are generally performed under local anesthesia and at an outpatient surgery center.  They tend to take about 30 to 60 minutes. The incisions are made on the nipple as inconspicuously as possible. Excess tissue is removed in a sinusoidal pattern and the skin sutured.  In some cases, a cylinder of skin around the neck of the nipple is removed and the outer portion is then “pushed” back and sutured. Generally following the procedure, nipple sensation is normal and a woman’s ability to breast feed is usually preserved. Dr. Grover’s patients experience no bruising, very little swelling if any and some tenderness around the incision area. All in all, patient discomfort is very little with minimal down time and most patients returning to normal activity within one day.

Anesthesia

The Incisions

Tummy Tuck or abdominoplasty with Liposuction

Surgeons today have almost perfected the art of the abdominoplasty incision,
so that scarring is minimal and is located between the pubic hairline and
the belly button where it can be covered by bathing suits or underwear.
Of course, the length of the incision will be determined by your surgeon,
based on the nature of your individual surgical needs. The incision itself
is the portal through which the surgeon will remove excess fatty tissues
and repair sagging, weak abdominal muscles. A second, smaller, vertical
incision may be required between the pubic hairline and the belly button
to remove excess skin left by the removal of the fatty tissue.

Liposuction incisions are small, round incisions that, with time, fade
to become almost unnoticeable. Once the incision is made, a sterile saline
solution is injected with the fatty deposit to loosen the fat and prepare
it for abstraction. Then the fat is sucked out of the body with a surgical
vacuum in a methodical back and forth motion, through a thin tube called
a cannula.

Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation, and Reduction

Three options for locations of incisions:

• Circumference of the areola
• Circumference of the areola and straight down from the bottom of the
  areola to the breast crease
• Circumference of the areola, straight down from the breast crease and
  horizontally along the breast crease

Reshaping your breasts

Let the reshaping begin! The process is tailored to every individual’s
needs, however these steps are common to most breast lift surgeries:

• The breast tissue beneath the skin is lifted and reshaped
• Any excess skin is removed to tighten the skin around the breast
• The nipple and areola are repositioned to match the proportion and
  scale of the newly reconstructed breast

Closing the incisions

The Mommy Makeover surgery can be performed in either one or two surgeries,
each one ranging in time from either 3 to 6 hours. Once the procedures have
been completed, the incisions are closed with with a combination of layered
sutures, clips and surgical tape.

The immediate results are oftentimes difficult to see through the swelling

My recovery

To maintain shape and pressure, special bandages will be used which will control
swelling in the affected areas. Temporary drainage tubes may also be used which
will allow for drainage of excess blood or fluid.

Here are some important questions to ask your doctor before surgery:

• Where will I recover directly after surgery?
• Will I be prescribed any post-surgery medications?
• How often do my bandages need to be changed and when will they be removed
  permanently?
• When will the drain tubes be removed (when appropriate)?
• How soon will I need to return for a follow-up visit?

While some results will be visible immediately, your body will continue to
heal and as the swelling subsides, it will continue to unfold a more contoured,
