Achieve an elegant and natural-looking increase in your breast size with a fat transfer breast augmentation procedure in Newport Beach. Large, well-rounded breasts are the hallmark of youth, and the desire of many women who suffer from deflation and sagging in the chest due to age, genetics, weight loss or pregnancy.
However, many women do not wish to undergo the breast augmentation with implants procedure, and would prefer a more non-invasive, natural approach. For these patients, an augmentation with fat transfer, also known as lipofilling, is ideal.
The fat transfer treatment is also an excellent technique for restoring the breasts after a mastectomy or lumpectomy, or in cases of tuberous breasts or Poland Syndrome, where the breasts fail to develop properly.
Fat transfer is the process of extracting fat from a donor area such as the thighs, hips, waist or belly with the use of a cannula, and then purifying and sterilizing that fat in order to inject it into areas of the body that require an increase in volume, typically the cheeks, lips, buttocks, temples or breasts. The process has the added benefit of contouring the donor area, creating a slimmer, more streamlined look in the torso.
Once the fat is removed from the body, it can be frozen, giving the client the option of further volume increase in the future, should they need or desire it. Not all the fat transferred will survive, so it’s good to have a surplus on hand in order to repeat the procedure as needed. However in general, about 60-80% of the fat transferred to the breasts survives.
While fat transfer for breast augmentation is generally well tolerated by the majority of clients since it works with the body’s own materials, there are those who will not qualify for the treatment because they lack a sufficient amount of fat in the donor area. Additionally, those wishing to jump up several cup sizes probably won’t find the most dramatic results with fat transfer, which offers more subtle changes.
